![]() ![]() In the end I liked Mogworld more, but both were fun enough for me to look forward to the next Yahtzee novel. Jam, on the other hand, is a fairly straight apocalypse-survivor story, with only one major mystery that is central to most apocalypse stories: How did this happen? Jam does, however, have a, quite hilarious, ironic cult of forumites (probably based on 4chan) going for it. Some of the book is also told through emails and memos. ![]() Mogworld is more complex, simply because it deals with different realities, and how they effect each other. I found Mogworld funnier by far, probably because the subject matter makes it easier for Yahtzee to write jokes about. Also, unsurprisingly, Yahtzee's characters tend to be either arrogant assholes, bumbling idiots or a combination of both and, in my opinion, he isn't writing women well. I found that both drag a bit towards the end - Mogworld more so than Jam. They're both fun and I enjoyed them a lot. ![]() I've listened to both books in the unabridged audio version (read by Yahtzee himself). ![]()
